York Racecourse
A total of 16 superb fixtures
are scheduled for 2010.
York's 2010 season promises to be another cocktail
of sporting drama, cullinery delights and luxury
hospitality.
York is one of the Premier tracks in Europe having
recently won Flat Racecourse of the Year Award and
also came out top in The Times Newspaper survey
of all Britain's racecourses. The course,
known as the Knavesmire, has been a favourite amongst
racegoers since it was founded in 1731.
The Ebor Festival staged in August plays host to
some of the most prestigious races in the calendar
and features a combination of the very best horses.
The opening day sees the richest and best race of
the year with the Group I Juddmonte International.
Ladies Day is on Thursday 19th August.
CATERING
York Racecourse takes pride
in their catering provided for each Meeting by sourcing
locally sourced produce. They know whether a piece
of beef is from Low Common Farm Sheffield or Cobble
Hall Farm near Leeds; and that the turkey will be
from South Milford Farm. Seasonal ingredients such
as asparagus from Thirsk or rhubarb from Pudsey
are used in the menus created by Chefs that have
over twenty years experience at York.
